The HSQE Department granted South-West franchise for Land Network
The HSQE Department has been awarded a franchise to develop the operations of Land Network International Ltd (LNI) in the South-West, covering the counties of Gloucestershire, Somerset & Wiltshire, an area that encompasses the cities of Bath & Bristol.
LNI provides the expertise and support for on-farm composting of business wastes and has 15 farms operating, mainly in the east of England. Bill Butterworth, Chairman & CEO explains: -
"Land Network converts waste to crops without producing any greenhouse gases and this actually locks carbon up in the soil. Not only is this of huge importance in our fight against global warming but it also offers considerable financial benefits to Waste Generators and Farmers alike. With Land Network, waste, so often seen as a liability, becomes an asset. We create a safe and productive asset by using better technology and better field practices on Land Network farms everyday. If you produce waste, handle it, or are a farmer, you need to know more about what we can do for you."
Richard Shearwood-Porter, Managing Associate, said "I'm immensely pleased to have been awarded this franchise and proud to be associated with a group of people who believe so passionately in what they are doing for agriculture and the environment. The HSQE Department can contribute many years of experience of environmental legislation, permitting and management systems, supported by local knowledge & contacts. We will be working very hard to duplicate the success that LNI has had in other regions."
